jim thorpe is a quaint little victorian town with so much history. the narrow streets are lined with beautiful historic buildings and cute little shops. the town sits in a valley surrounded by mountains, so it was the perfect location to welcome the start of fall this weekend as the leaves began to change colors on the trees.
while we were in jim thrope from friday evening until saturday evening, we stayed at a little bed and breakfast called the minnie victoria. the bed and breakfast was charming, and the owner was as sweet as could be. we really enjoyed our little weekend getaway!

after we checked in at the bed and breakfast on friday night,
we went out to the town of jim thorpe for dinner.
we had dinner at the broadway grille inside the inn at jim thorpe.
ryan had beef wellington and i had braised garlic lamb chops. both of our dinners came with risotto and veggies too. everything was so good!
after dinner, we walked around the town and we found a cute little ice cream shoppe that made their own ice cream. we both got the pumpkin ice cream that had cheesecake pieces in it. it was such a good fall dessert!
since all of the shops closed so early on friday night, we came back to the bed and breakfast. the owner had a bunch of old movies there for the guests to watch, so we watched father of the bride. such a classic!

Beautiful pictures. The food really looks good. You do not see too many places serving lamb and beef wellington. Both a favorite of mine.
What is in the decanter next to the bed? DO they have complimentary liquor?
The bed and breakfast looks charming and the food looks yummy. Jim Thorpe is such a pretty little town; love the buildings!
