it was a foggy and rainy halloween yesterday. after work, we put some fun halloween-themed lights and decorations around our house, and we lit the halloween pumpkins that we carved over the weekend. we didn't dress up in costumes this year, but i did wear my halloween sweater!
we handed out candy to 154 trick-or-treaters who came to our door. i don't know where they all came from! (a majority of the residents in our neighborhood are senior citizens.) i always get a kick out of seeing all of the halloween costumes each year, but overall this year they were pretty lame. except for the little girl who dressed up as a flower pot. it was a pretty creative homemade costume and her candy bucket was a garden watering can. her costume was my favorite. ryan's favorite trick-or-treater was the little girl who sang an entire verse of john jacob jingleheimer schmidt to him in exchange for candy. priceless.
leko was so popular with the little kids too. they all loved seeing him. he sat in the living room peering out of the door and the front windows. he kept a close eye on all of the trick-or-treaters.
at the end of the night, we sat down to watch it's the great pumpkin, charlie brown on tv.
hope everyone had a great halloween!
love, laurie

Photos of Leko always make me laugh; he is just so cute and photogenic! I wonder if that child sang to any other people; pretty cute!
