this week was a particularly challenging one, and i am glad that it is friday. as the second week of classes at the university where we work comes to a close, i can hardly believe that the summer is really over. we're looking forward to the long three-day weekend. we hope to get in a good amount of rest since we are both exhausted, along with some time with family and of course a few trips to the annual italian festival downtown too.

I love the two-tone flower. What kind is it? Happy Labor Day! I like the idea of rest. After this week with the heat and the first week of school, I am totally wiped.
