living nativity

when we celebrated my mom's birthday on saturday, we stopped by ryan's parents' church to see their live nativity display.  it was the first time we had seen it and it was really nice.  (ryan's mom even made some of the costumes!)

several church members braved the cold weather outside to recreate the nativity scene for a few hours, complete with a cow, a donkey, and a goat too!  the walkway leading up to the nativity scene was lined with lumineers which created a beautiful glow.  it was a nice way to kick off the christmas season.
