ryan and i headed to the italian festival on saturday to grab lunch because we were already downtown. we shared some broccoli pizza, fresh tomato and garlic pizza, and bruschetta.
on sunday, our parents came up to our house in the afternoon for lunch. we shared some hoagies, enjoyed some homemade zucchini cake that ryan's mom made, and visited for awhile. in the evening, we all headed down to the italian festival for dinner. it was raining off and on, but we didn't let that stop us. we suited up in rain coats and rain boots with umbrellas in hand to brave the rain for our italian food! we had a bunch of different things to eat followed by cannolis for dessert.
after our parents left to head home, we sat on our camp chairs to enjoy the entertainment and the fireworks. it was a great la festa!
the count down is on for next year's festival!

That was a fun day and good food even if it was raining. We really enjoyed ourselves.
