in january, we rang in the new year with our families and celebrated five years with leko. i turned 32 and we celebrated my birthday with dinner and a family birthday party. we both worked the national tour of jersey boys the musical when it came to town, and leko fell in love with our sink colander. we took a day trip to columbia, pennsylvania to visit the turkey hill experience too.
in march, we got hammered by a crazy blizzard that left us with over 2 feet of snow! we saw the national tour of cinderella when it came to town and celebrated the first day of spring with free rita's ice even though it was cold outside. we celebrated ryan's mom's birthday, received a sweet mail surprise from ryan's aunt sandy, and survived another show season.
in april, we saw the ringling bros. and barnum & bailey circus perform. we spent the long easter holiday weekend in walt disney world visiting the magic kingdom, hollywood studios, and epcot. we ate a ton of great food while we were in disney and made a little video of our trip. we took a quick trip to nyc to see the cherry blossom trees and the spring flowers blooming at the brooklyn botanic garden too. we saw a local ice hockey game and admired the tulips blooming outside my office window at work.
in may, we both worked the national tour of pippin when it came to town and i participated in a pippin dance workshop. we celebrated mother's day with our families and my parents and i explored ice lake. we enjoyed the azaleas and other flowers in bloom in our back yard. over memorial day weekend, my parents and i visited historic millbrook village and quiet valley historical farm too.
in june, we took advantage of the nice weather and worked on several projects around our house including building a raised garden bed for veggies and herbs. we both worked the dierks bentley concert tour when it came to town. i was featured on local tv to promote my dance studio's annual recital and i performed in the recital and shared several recital memories and dress rehearsal photos too. we celebrated father's day and ryan's dad's birthday, and we finally captured pictures of the nutty acrobatic squirrel who lives in our yard. we finished out the month of june with a sunday afternoon date at a local minor-league baseball game and a much-needed hair cut to kick off summer.
in july, we celebrated the fourth of july with our families with a cookout and fireworks. we spent an afternoon in downtown easton and we went to knoebels amusement park. we went biking on a new trail and picked strawberries. we both worked back-to-back concerts, i worked all of camp bisco, and then worked some more concerts.
in october, i became an official member of the stage hands union and celebrated my blog's 6th birthday. we visited the paper caves in honesdale, worked the national tour of a gentleman's guide to love and murder when it came to town, and visited ritter's cider mill. we got lasik eye surgery, carved and painted our pumpkins for halloween, and enjoyed trick-or-treat at our house on halloween night.
in november, we saw straight no chaser in concert and celebrated my dad's birthday. i attended the broadway theatre league gala, and we worked the national tour of a christmas story when it came to town. we enjoyed thanksgiving with our families too.
in december, we visited the annual scranton made holiday marketplace and celebrated my mom's birthday. i danced in my dance studio's annual christmas show and we attended the annual christmas tree lighting at the university where i work. we worked several christmas shows, mailed our 2017 christmas cards to our family and friends, and went to ryan's company's employee christmas party. we drove around to admire christmas lights too. we took a trip to nyc to see the department store holiday window displays and to see the city decorated for christmas. we closed out the year by celebrating christmas eve at my parents' house, opening presents on christmas morning at our house, and celebrating christmas day at our house with our families.

The photos are all beautiful! You sure did have a busy year! I'm tired just looking at all the things you did! We look forward to participating in some of these activities with you in the year to come.
