a local garden center near my parents' house recently created a little lavender farm. to celebrate, they had a lavender festival allowing the public to walk in the lavender field and check out so many local vendors selling lavender-themed products. we stopped down on saturday for a little bit to check it out. the farm is small since it's just starting out, but it was so lovely. i can't wait to see what it grows to become in the next several years. a few photos . . .

That will be so nice when the field is in full bloom. The smell will be terrific and you could get some nice pictures too.
