after work on saturday, we went over to my parents' house for dinner and then headed up to skytop lodge to see their fireworks display. i don't think i can ever remember a 4th of july fireworks display in the rain before! it was so, so chilly. we bundled up in multiple layers, our rain jackets, and boots, and had our umbrellas in hand. we braved the chilly rain to see the fireworks display from under our umbrellas but it was worth it because the fireworks were great!

That was a first for us to see the fireworks in the rain. Luckily it stopped just before they set the fireworks off. It was a nice display and we enjoyed it all bundled up.
Your photos are great; the building and the fireworks are beautiful. I don't think I ever watched fireworks in the rain. I'm glad they were not cancelled and you were able to enjoy them. We missed seeing all of you on the holiday.
