i fondly remember the excitement of having glow sticks when i was younger. ryan gave noah two glow sticks on the way home in the car after a recent dance recital and he was having a good time with them. he's facinated with lights, so these glow sticks reminded him of lights since it was so dark in the back of the car on the ride home.

noah was practically running down the hallway at the theatre in his little chariot recently. he has wonderfully wide and long hallways to cruise around and he was really enjoying it!

noah has loved playing on the swings at the park this spring, so grandma and grandpa bought him his very own swing for the tree in our back yard. ryan rigged it up for him and noah has been loving it so much!

it took me a minute, but i'm finally getting around to sharing our mother's day photos. we started out the morning with a tasty breakfast at home along with some flowers that ryan picked from our yard.
we celebrated the rest of mother's day with our families at ryan's parents' house. we had a yummy meal, played with the kitties, took a walk around the block, and celebrated our mamas of course!
very lucky to have lots of places to walk near our house and to have a park in walking distance!
we're not the only ones who are tired from all of these shows. i had to laugh the other night when we brought noah home from a show and he was hanging on tight to his car seat even though he was fast asleep!

we know nothing about star wars. honestly, we've never seen any of the movies.
our nephews are big fans though, and bought noah this cute star wars outfit. naturally, we put him in it on may 4th because . . . "may the fourth be with you" and we handed him this prop from an old dance recital that looks like a light saber. too funny!
this guy sure gets worn out from all of his hard work on all of these shows in the theatre!

happy mother's day! last year noah was in my tummy for mother's day, and we did a gender reveal for our parents on mother's day! i can’t believe it’s a whole year later.
we're so very grateful for our amazing mamas today and every day!
back in the middle of march our friends katie and travis invited us to take part in their mother’s day photo sessions. travis is a professional photographer and he is incredible at what he does. we had never had professional photos taken of noah, so we were excited for the opportunity.

leko is rarely up on the rocking chair in our living room, so i was surprised to see him jump up there recently. i quickly realized that the reason he went up there was to dance in the purr-fect sun spot! so cute!

happy cinco de mayo! we love any excuse to eat mexican food. i could really go for all of this right now! here are some fun links for today . . .
when we're in a hurry, we love making our recipe for 5 ingredient tacos in 5 minutes.
there's also other fun spins like broccoli guacamole a.k.a. broccomole.
we've also made tamale casserole, baked taquitos, and we make enchiladas vegetarian very frequently.
then there was the year we did a mexican fiesta theme for ryan's birthday complete with a churro cake!
all of this is making me hungry!
