my tiny technician

my tiny little technician was all too happy to show off his toy wrench, hammer, and drill to the stage technicians working the nutcracker.  he wants to be like the guys and help them work!  he dressed in his tools-themed onesie for load in and wore his adorable little carpenter jeans where he could store his tools.  such a big helper!

grandma's a magician

this may look like a normal scene to some people . . . little boy sitting down and watching a miss rachel video on the ipad . . . not for noah!  if you know anything about noah, you know that he NEVER sits down or stays still for a second, so when grandma texted me a picture showing me that he was actually sitting down and watching miss rachel my jaw hit the floor.  grandma is a magician.

leaf cleanup helper

noah is a big helper with leaf cleanup in the yard.  we bundled up and cuddled close recently to rake up a bunch of fallen leaves.  it's hard work supervising mama.

15 months old!

i can't believe this nugget is 15 months old today!  he's full of adventure, fearless, working on his top two front teeth, using his imagination to have good fun playing in an amazon box, and being a trooper through the nutcracker!

little stage hand

this little stage hand has been helpful the past week as we've been working on the nutcracker.  he is obsessed with brooms and dustpans.  he just looooooooves sweeping the stage!

too smart

this tiny dude is too smart.  he wanted to go outside the other day but it was too cold and we had just come back inside.  so, he stole my keys and went over to the door and attempted to unlock it with the keys!  good grief.

tickle monster gloves

my co-worker gifted noah a tickle monster book that came with tickle monster gloves.  he likes to get the gloves out of the basket in his room and bring them to me to put on my hands.  he thinks it's hysterical.  sometimes he asks me to put them on his hands.  his expressions the other day were so funny when he had the gloves on his hands . . .

veterans day flags

the veterans alliance at the university where we work has displayed thousands of american flags on campus in honor of veterans day for the past several years.  every year i love seeing all of the flags in the lawn.  each flag represents a fallen service member.  the flags are on display all week and it's really something to see all of the flags arranged in perfectly straight lines, blowing gently in the breeze.

"all about the swifities" – a tribute to taylor swift

saturday was a wild night at the theatre.  we had a taylor swift tribute, and it was absolutely insane!  the audience loved it but it was a crazy night for our staff.

celebrating papa's birthday

it was a busy weekend in the theatre with back-to-back shows so we celebrated papa's birthday on sunday.  we were all worn out, so we had a calm little birthday celebration at home with some delicious shrimp that my mom made and some yummy ice cream pie for dessert.

halloween 2023

halloween 2023 was a fun one!  we dressed up noah for his second halloween as a little avocado and was adorable!

our parents came up to celebrate and we had dinner and dessert before taking noah out for a spin around the neighborhood for his first taste of trick-or-treating.  he had a blast!

noah loves ciabatta bread!

noah is obsessed with bread . . . that's how we know he's biologically our child.  our love for bread runs deep and he inherited it.

noah hasn't met a type of bread he hasn't liked.  recently he tried ciabatta for the first time and of course was loving it.

hello, november

it's a very chilly start to the month of november this morning.  the air is crisp and the grass is frosty.  just a few days ago it was warm enough to take a walk around the block with noah and enjoy the warm sunshine.

i'm not ready to see the frost on the grass.  i want the warm weather to hang on just a little bit longer!
