noah's "side"

noah is obsessed with slides at playgrounds . . . obsessed!  he loves going down the slides at all of our local parks and really liked the water slides at the water park.

noah doesn't say many words but he clearly asks for "side" anytime he wants to slide . . . which is all the time.  "side, side, side!"  he is persistant!

we have been talking about getting him a little toy slide for home for a bit now and we finally found the perfect one for him.  we found a slide on sale that was indoor/outdoor and could be used dry or wet.  there is a hose attachment under the slide that connects to a garden hose and sprays water out of four sections on the top of the slide.

needless to say, it has been a huge hit.

cooling off at the splash pad

it has been hot, hot, hot lately.  the best thing to do in a heat wave of 90 degrees for multiple days in a row is cool off at the splash pad.  noah really got into it and we will definitely need to go back again!

a little impromptu birthday celebration

after going to the waterpark last week, we went to ryan's parents' house because it was ryan's dad's birthday.  we dried off our waterlogged bodies and had some sandwiches and chocolate cake!

noah's first time at a waterpark

last summer we took noah to a pool for the first time and he loved it.  he had never been to a waterpark before and we thought it might be something fun for him to try.

i got free admission tickets to our local waterpark and we took a trip last week on a very hot day.  noah loved the concept of splashing around in the water and he really loved the water slides!  he went on the water slides in the kids' section many times and even went on the big water slides several times!

father's day 2024

we all got together at our house to celebrate father's day last weekend.  we had flatbread pizzas and salad for dinner followed by cake and ice cream with strawberries for dessert.  

noah enjoyed seeing everyone.  he helped ryan's dad unwrap his birthday present and finished out the evening by "mowing" the lawn.  what a character!

noah loves playing outside and exploring.  lately he has been interested in the rocks and we sure have a lot of rocks at our house!

claws 'n' paws wild animal park zoo

growing up, i remember visiting claws 'n' paws wild animal park several times for family outings and school field trips.  it has been several decades since i've been there.  we thought it would be fun to take noah since he only ever visited a zoo once on his first birthday.

we went in the morning and noah loved it.  he was such a good sport and saw every single exhibit.  i definitely think his favorite animal was the giraffe who he passed by a few times and even got to feed!
