another year has come and gone and it's that time again for another annual year-in-review post. i enjoy these posts each year because they are such a great way to close out the year and look back on all of the things that we packed into the past twelve months.
here are our highlights from 2024 . . .
in january, we rang in the new year with our families, celebrated 12 years with leko, bought noah a giant inflatable snowman, got snowed in on my birthday, took noah out to play in the snow for the first time, celebrated my birthday with our families, took noah back out in the snow for a second attempt, and celebrated aunt ruth's 80th birthday.
in february, we were happy to see noah and leko play together, celebrated 6 years of me working at the theatre, played a lot with noah, helped ryan build scenery, and survived the university's main stage musical.
in march, we celebrated katie at her baby shower, soaked up any chance we got to get outside, said goodbye to noah's infant car seat, dressed up noah for st. patrick's day, played around on stage, took noah to meet the easter bunny, put noah to work building more scenery, celebrated ryan's mom's birthday, and celebrated easter with our families.
in april, we spend a lot of time working in the theatre, put on an incredible production of little red riding hood, took noah to the park for the first time in the season, enjoyed the spring weather, pretended to mow the grass, "read" dad's text book, took our first bike ride of the season, and played outside.
in may, we spent a lot of time at the theatre, played outside, shared our mother's day photos, spent way too much time working at the theatre, enjoyed noah's new toy car, and celebrated memorial day.
in june, we played outside, worked many dance recitals, visited parks, visited claws 'n' paws zoo, celebrated father's day, went to the water park, and went to the spash pad.
in july, we planted flowers, celebrated the fourth of july, played on our water slide, visited hillside dairy farm, enjoyed ice cream, visited lakeland orchard a bunch, picked berries, picked sunflowers, bought noah his very own excavator, took a trip to woodbury commons, and walked in a parade with my dance students.
in august, we visited the train museum, visited bee's backyard, had a picnic at the park, i was on tv again, went to isabella and josh's wedding, celebrated ryan's 40th birthday with a surprise party, took a trip on the ice cream train, celebrated noah's 2nd birthday with a construction party, went apple picking, and had our back yard renovated.
in september, we celebrated labor day weekend at the italian festival, visited roba family farms often, and celebrated leko's 13th birthday.
in october, we worked the university's main stage show, saw the northern lights, visited quiet valley living historical farm, accepted an award for the theatre, took noah to a trunk-or-treat, and all dressed up for halloween.
in november, we visited roba's one last time for the season, fed the birds, spent way too much time at the theatre, visited the trolly museum, attended the inauguration of our university's new president, and celebrated thanksgiving.
in december, we practically lived at the theatre, attended our university's annual tree lighting ceremony, noah really enjoyed putting up our christmas tree and decorating it, we sent out our annual photo christmas cards, noah pretended to "saw" down the tree almost daily, noah decorated his own tiny tree, and we all enjoyed celebrating christmas eve and christmas day with our family.
