for the past few weeks, we've been hard at work on this year's children's theatre production of "hansel and gretel" at the university. (well, really it's been longer than that because i started writing the script for this year's show a few months ago.)
children's theatre is near-and-dear to my heart and it's a genre of theatre that i absolutely love. i have never done "hansel and gretel" before and thought it would be a good choice for this year, but i didn't like the existing scripts so i decided to make my own version.
i wrote the script, directed the show, and designed the costumes and scenery. ryan was the technical director, production manager, and lighting designer. we both oversaw special effects, props, and audio. noah was everyone's supervisor and executive producer.
here are a few photos of the show. most are ones that i snapped on my camera during our final dress rehearsal, and a few others came from a student photographer and other people's phones . . .
love, laurie

The pictures really show the players expressions. Wonderful show and we are all proud of you three!
Great pictures, they capture the excitement of the players
I'm so glad that you posted these photos because I don't have any from the show. You can be very proud of yourselves for this production! It was outstanding all around and I'm really happy that I got to see it three times because each time I noticed different details. It is sad that it is over, but I'm sure you can use some rest.
